Privacy Policy

The short version

• • We don't sell your personal data. Ever.
• • We don't train AI models on your lyrics or audio.
• • Your songs stay private to your account unless you publish them to the Showcase.
• • You can delete your account and your data at any time.

What we collect

Account data: email address, display name, handle, avatar (if provided), and password hash.

Content you create: song lyrics, optional audio uploads, song titles, analyses, and comments. This content is yours.

Usage data: basic analytics about which features you use and when, to improve the product. We don't sell this to third parties.

Billing data: if you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details. We never see or store full card numbers.

How we use AI

When you submit a song for analysis, your lyrics (and optional audio) are sent to large language model providers solely to generate the verdict you receive. We instruct providers not to retain or train on your content. Your work is never used to improve any model — ours or anyone else's.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run SongVerdict — hosting, database, payments, transactional email, and AI inference — and only what's necessary for them to do their jobs. We don't sell, rent, or trade your data with anyone for advertising or any other purpose.

Public content

Songs you explicitly publish to the Showcase, and your public profile (handle, display name, avatar, bio), are visible to anyone on the internet. You can unpublish a song or change your profile at any time.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time from your profile settings. Account deletion permanently removes your songs, analyses, and personal data within 30 days. To request anything we don't expose in-app, email privacy@songverdict.com.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for sign-in and session management. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify active users by email and update the "last updated" date above.
